The Crossref community forum is a great place to get help and answers about Crossref DOIs, but Crossref DOIs are just one element of the broader scholarly ecosystem.
Did you know that there are lots of community forums like this one, and each covers a different aspect of the publishing and persistent identifier world?
- Got a question about OJS? Check out the very active OJS forum run by PKP, creators of Open Journal Systems.
- Maybe you have a question about ORCID? They also have a forum here.
- If you want to suggest a correction to a ROR record or suggest a new institution be added to ROR you can do that here. If you have general questions about ROR, you can ask at their discussion section.
- Maybe you have a question about a DataCite DOI? DataCite has their own space here.
- If you have broader questions about persistent identifiers generally, the PID Forum is a great place to ask.
- Don’t know where to ask? Or maybe you have some other question about publishing? Check out The PLACE, a forum for discussion around all sorts of publishing matters.
What am I missing? Are there other forums or resources you’ve found useful when thinking about publishing and persistent identifiers? Let us know in the comments!
Kindly,
Collin
