The URL element in the REST API gives the doi link for the record, however to date it has been using a format that doesn’t follow our display guidelines. We have updated this, so going forward you will see links like:
https://0-doi-org.libus.csd.mu.edu/10.1504/ijsse.2025.10059811
instead of:
http://0-dx-doi-org.libus.csd.mu.edu/10.1504/ijsse.2025.10059811
We’ve also taken the opportunity to update a few other URLs which were using the http version rather than the more secure https version, for example ORCIDs.
This will apply for any new records added to the API, we won’t be reindexing and correcting existing records. Note that both versions of URLs resolve to exactly the same location so there should be no difference in how the output of the API can be used.
