Users of iThenticate may experience intermittent issues after modifying exclusion settings in the Filters and Settings panel of Similarity Report, upon applying the changes an error sometimes occurs that removes the source highlights from the paper text.
Turnitin are aware of the issue and currently working on a fix. In the meantime, they have recommended the following workaround: refresh your browser to restore the highlighting in your Similarity Report.
