DOI: 10.47780/jifsi.55.4.2023.%a , contains invalid characters

After transferring the ownership of the title, we attempted to activate the DOI by changing the prefix from 10.47780 to 10.56093. However, we encountered an error (detailed below) during the process.

It appears that the old prefix 10.47780 is still being referenced in the error log, preventing the activation of the DOI with the new prefix.

We kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue so we can successfully activate the DOI.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Hi Shantanu,

Many thanks for your email.

Please note that the ownership of the Journal of the Inland Fisheries Society of India (ISSN: 0379-3435) was transferred from the prefix 10.47780 to 10.56093 .

With this change of ownership, then it means you can not be able to register any new DOI with the journal’s former prefix 10.47780 , as done in the failed deposit that you have shared with us. New DOIs can only be created with the current prefix 10.56093

Lastly, you included an invalid character (%) as part of a DOI suffix in your last deposit, and that is exactly why this specific deposit failed. There are some characters that are not permitted to be included as part of the DOI suffix pattern. Please review the DOI suffix pattern rules to see what are the permitted characters here Constructing your DOIs - Crossref

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Best,
Evans
