It would be of great value if any of you could refer us to the answers (your views / relevant study / journal paper / blog postings) to the following questions - 1) is there any study for comparison of metadata coverage of Crossref and other bibliographic databases (like Scopus, WoS from commercial domain or Dimensions, SemanticScholar from open access domain)? 2) is it safe to assume that Crossref coverage of metadata (retrieved against a REST/API query - say query.affiliation) will be more comprehensive (and all-encompassing) in comparison to the coverage of retrieved metadata from any of the mentioned bibliographic databases individually?
