I would like to ask you about contents of back issues with DOIs.
Our journal’s back issue contents have only local language for title, abstract, keyword and author name.
What is your recommendation for DOIs registration like below below metadata from OJS based journal.
article’s title, abstract, keywords and author name wrote by local language.
but we added new below data for metadata.
Affiliations will be English version of name of author’s affiliation and city and country name.
is it okay for this kind of metadata for DOI registration.
As long as the link of abstract and the full text is in acceptable format, it would be fine as far as I know as our journals at MU has had similar situation.
Thanks for your message. We recommend registering the metadata in the language that matches the language of the content itself. For illustration, if the article (or, content) was written and published in Spanish, then the article would most likely be cited in Spanish, so we’d recommend that the metadata registered with us also be in Spanish.
If for some reason you believe that the article would most likely be cited in English, then register the metadata with us in English.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
